About Credencis

Who is Credencis, what do they know and what do they do?

Brian Flindall, the director of Credencis, has been working in financial services since 1995. Through earlier years of his career, much experience was gained working for United Friendly, where he became ‘The IB Man’ providing door to door insurance and pensions advice. Every day he would walk the streets, knock on doors, collecting clients’ premiums. It was a very satisfying job which meant he saw his clients ‘face to face’ all the time, during which they shared both sorrows and joys.

‘I still have clients now from this early period. You became a close friend of the family, somebody liked and trusted with their money.’

A brief time working as a Direct Salesman for Canada Life meant he was essentially ‘looking after a small client bank’. From an early time in his career he always wanted to be self-employed, and build up his ‘own’ business. In the year 2000 he started as an Independent Financial Adviser under the wing of one of the main firms, providing true independent advice building up his own clients who frequently sought help and advice.

In 2005, after many years of working self-employed, and yet always ‘for other people’, he formed Credencis.

For many years he had been predominantly advising his own clients with their pensions, both funding their retirement, and then advising them of their options in retirement. I decided at this point to build the Credencis that people will recognise today which is essentially a ‘pension drawdown specialist’, helping clients from the age of 55 and beyond with their pensions. Brian qualified as a ‘Pension Transfer Specialist’ allowing him to advise in the ‘complex’ area of transferring Defined Benefit/Final Salary Schemes.

Away from ‘pensions’ I love to travel, in particuartly watch live music, and also spend time with my family, and swim as often as I can.

The company focuses on the personal approach to clients, building strong relationships supported by clear and comprehensive information that adheres to all current regulations and developments within the aforementioned areas of financial advice. The emphasis is on regular client/adviser interaction in order for customers to have accurate and up to date information relating to their investment funds, pensions and annuities. Credencis regularly performs appraisals with appropriate suggestions towards clients on how to improve their investment/pension forecast.
